9th GRADE PLANNING
During 9th grade, your counselor will meet with you in person on an as-needed basis and check in on you monthly. Things you and your counselor will work on together include:
A personalized four-year plan:
We will create a customized plan to help you excel academically and in extracurricular activities.
Course recommendations:
We will review your high school curriculum and recommend courses that align with your goals.
Summer plan development:
We will provide guidance on applying to pre-college programs, internships, and camps to make the most of your summers.
We offer counseling to enhance your time management, personal organization, and study skills for success in high school.
Extracurricular Involvement:
We’ll help you explore and expand your passions by reviewing extracurricular offerings at your school and in your community.
10th GRADE PLANNING

Conduct a college and career interest survey
Assist in locating and applying to competitive summer programs, internships, and camps.
Provide guidance on time management, study skills, and self-advocacy practice.
Guidance on standardized testing, including a plan of which test to take and when. Resources to help you find test prep locations.
Help identifying any potential areas of growth in your academic or extracurricular profile.
9th AND 10th GRADE
All packages include unlimited access to your assigned counselor via text message, phone, zoom, and in person. We do not cap the number of hours that we work with each student. We understand that every student and family is unique and our goal is to meet the student and family where they are at to ensure a successful post secondary process.
Individual Services
COURSE SELECTION & STANDARDIZED TEST GUIDANCE
Your counselor will collaborate with you to make informed selections in your academic classes. We will review your previous courses and grades and help you in determining what courses will set you up for the most success in the admissions process. Your counselor will also review your PSAT scores with you and determine a testing plan. Our counselors do not do test prep but are able to provide you with resources for test prep.
